I am actually feeling really down, knowing that I have only 6 weeks left here. I feel so alive here – there is so much art, so much to learn and see, so much more of the language to learn, and so much music to hear. I feel like I just started – I am learning to eat properly, how to take care of myself and how to relate to all kinds of people.
I have made a list of all the things I want to do before I go. I know I will not finish it all, and I don’t want to burn myself out. But at least it exists.
The good news is that I am not regretting being too lazy or inactive. I have spent lots of time out and about, doing things. And I will continue to do so.

Monday – figure drawing was lovely for me, even though I was very tired, and Tuesday painting class was really neat. I think I am going to do my final project on the SDF of Paris, which means I have to go out and take some really good photographs of them that I will paint. This is scary but I think it will be a good exercise.
We prepared canvasses for the rest of the semester – I textured mine by mixing sand with the gesso. It looks really cool.

Tango class was also quite good, and I felt like my base level has raised itself… which means I feel like I am no longer capable of losing my balance while doing certain things etc. Benj and I really clicked and improved alot as well. I am going to the intermediate tango class without him today. It will be quite fun.

Today I went to Musée Picasso which was really neat because he is so creative. I also went to Musée du Quai Branly, which is a new museum that showcases early art from all of the different cultures of the world. we were not allowed cameras, and i am beginning to take pleasure in drawing in these museums so i will at least have a record of what i saw. no one ever tells me i am not allowed to draw. I thought it was interesting that there are so many women represented in early art. if you ever go to paris, make sure you get to that museum.

i am feeling better but very tired. i hope this dance class is not too much tonight.
I have found a cheap flight to milan, so i am hoping to spend a weekend in italy in the near future. i need to look at my bank account first… 😉
